Ingredients

2 c
crushed tomatoes
2 tsp
butter or margarine
3 c
scalded milk
1 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
3 tsp
minute tapioca

Step-By-Step

1Cook tomatoes, butter , salt, pepper and tapioca in a saucepan stirring constantly ,until tapioca is transparent. Heat milk to just scalding point, add tomato mixture slowly to prevent curdling and bring slowly to boiling point- BUT DO NOT boil. Serve over butter garlic toast or savory bread.

2I personally like to eat it in a bowl with seasoned buttered croƻton's and crumbled bacon on top.
