Diana's Notes:

Received this from a dear friend who made it often for the office parties because we begged for it.

Sounds so good, I love Green Chile. I lived in NM for a few years and really miss the smell of green chilies roasting.

So glad you ladies like the way this sounds. I promise it's very good and you can even use egg beathers.
You can buy green chiles by mail from Hatch. hatchnmgreenchile.com/?gcli...
I know when I lived away from NM for a few years I ached and longed to get back and here I am, happy as a clam (what ever that means)!

My mom found this recipe in a magazine 40 years ago. It has been a family favorite since then. Congratulations on winning! Little tip they are great cold too! We call them chili-egg-puffs

This recipe looks wonderful. All the canned green chilis in the stores here are mild so I think I'll sub half diced jalapenos to get some heat.

I too have had this recipe for almost 40 yrs. I use the canned green chiles according to the recipe and add jalapenos in addition to give it a kick.

Congrats on the blue ribbon! Can the cottage cheese be substituted with something else? The family and I don't eat cottage cheese. Ricota maybe?
