Simple & Sweet Honey, Cheese, & Almond Pastry

- roll of prepared puff pastry dough (thawed)
- bricks/packages of cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 c
- white sugar
- extra sugar
- egg, beaten with a splash of water
- sliced almonds
1mix together softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar
2sprinkle cookie sheet/pan with white sugar.
Unroll Puffed pastry sheet, lay on pan
3cover the surface of dough with cream cheese/sugar mix.
(you will want to leave the edges clear of cream cheese so you can press them together)
Generously drizzle honey onto cream cheese (don't be of using too much, because some of the honey will ooze out during baking)
take a small handful of sliced almonds and sprinkle.
4Fold pastry dough in half, press the edges together.
Brush with egg wash.
Sprinkle more sugar on.
Put a few scratches into the dough, then top with a large handful of almonds.
Bake at 385 for about 30 minutes.
