Ingredients For paradise lemon bread

1 1/2 call-purpose flour

1/4 tspall-purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt or to taste

1 tspbaking powder

1/2 cbutter
-
1 cgranulated sugar
-
2eggs
-
1/2 cmilk (almond milk is nice)

juice of 1 small lemon
-
2 Tbspgrated lemon rind
-
1/4 cchopped nuts, more if you like (hazelnuts or walnuts)

2 Tbspgranulated sugar

2 Tbsplemon juice
How To Make paradise lemon bread

1Preheat oven to 350˚ F. Grease thoroughly and 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.

2Mix the flour, salt and baking powder.

3Cream the butter and sugar then add the eggs one at a time mixing them in and then beat until light and fluffy.

4Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with the milk and lemon juice. Combine lightly after each addition.

5Fold in the lemon rind and chopped nuts.

6Turn into prepared loaf pan. Bake in 350˚ oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Cool 5 minutes.

7Now, Combine and pour over top: 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 2 tablespoons lemon juice And allow to cool in pan

8Remove from pan when cool. This may be served plain as cake or buttered as a sweet bread.
