I do not remember who gave me this recipe but it is now the only cornbread recipe for our family cookouts so good with a good slaw and barbque.

Ingredients For not just another cornbread recipe

  • 2 c
    baking mix
  • 1 c
    cornmeal
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    butter melted
  • 1 c
    buttermilk or soured milk
  • 1 c
    creamed corn
  • 2
    eggs slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda

How To Make not just another cornbread recipe

    preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2
    grease and flour a 9X13 cake pan
  • 3
    Combine ingredients in order given mix well.

    pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the bread test done using tooth pick test.
