Chop the maraschino cherries, except the five for tops. Combine the chopped cherries, cream cheese, nuts, sugar and almond flavoring. Separate each can of crescent roll dough into a rectangle (total of two rectangles). Press seams of each rectangle to seal. Spread cherry mixture over the dough. Roll up rectangles and place in two small loaf pans. Slice diagonally in 1-inch intervals.
Bake in a 375-degree oven for 30-35 minutes. Makes 2 loaves.
Mix glaze until smooth and drizzle over the bread. Top with cherry halves.
