Ingredients

1 c
butter, softened
2 c
sugar

eggs
3 c
ap flour
2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
2 tsp
cinnamon
1 tsp
nutmeg
1/2 tsp
ground ginger
1/2 tsp
ground cloves
1 1/2 c
semi - sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c
chopped pecans - divided
1 1/2 c
canned pumpkin, not mix

SPICED GLAZE

1 c
confectioners' sugar
1/4 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
3 Tbsp
milk or heavy cream

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

Spray 2 - 9 x 5 loaf pans with non stick cooking spray and then flour.

In a medium bowl, beat butter until smooth. Add sugar; beat until fluffy.

Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Sift together dry ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with pumpkin, ending with flour mixture.

Stir in chocolate chips and one cup pecans.

Spoon into pans evenly. Sprinkle with remaining pecans.

Bake for 65 - 70 minutes, or until pick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pans; remove to wire racks.

Spice glaze:

Mix ingredients together until desired consistency is reached.

Glaze with spice glaze while still warm.
