- vegetable shortening (crisco)
- 1 c
- 1 tsp
- 2 c
- 1/4 c
- chopped walnuts
1Cream the shortening, sugar, eggs, and bananas. Add the soda, flour and nuts.
2Grease loaf pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for glass). Bake about 1 hr. and 10 min. or until a toothpick comes out clean when checked.
I always cover the loaf when it is nicely browned with aluminum foil to keep it from overbrowning.
Cool on rack and wrap in foil to keep moist.
