festive cranberry loaf

Recipe by

I adopted this recipe and it turned out fabulous. Thank you JAP for the basic recipe. I added 1 whole orange instead of juice, and made it into two loaves instead of one recipe, and now I am glad I did as one would just not be enough. It is decorated with vanilla chips and red and green sugars. I was a little hesitatant to add the cranberry juice because I had never seen a bread with cranberry juice, but I took the chance and added it in with other ingredients so that the ph would not affect the baking soda or powder that much. I am so glad I did because it just has that holiday flavor that smells and taste of Christmas. A great holiday recipe, and a must have for Christmas dinner. I made three smaller loaves and froze two.
