crescent rolls (8oz)


1 pkg
cream cheese, room temperature, (8 oz)
1/4 c
1 tsp
lime or lemon zest
1 c
pecans (whole or pieces or halves...whatever you like)


1 c
powdered sugar
5-6 Tbsp
half and half or heavy cream
1 pinch
(actually a splash) almond extract (vanilla is ok, too)


Step 1 Direction Photo

1Roll out crescents and separate by 2s's (so that rectangles are forms) and place side by side so that one long rectangle is formed. Press to seal seems.

2Mix filling ingredients except pecans together and spread down center. Top with pecans.

3Cut diagonal slits up from the outer edge to the filling. Fold over each other so that a braided pattern is formed.

Step 4 Direction Photo

4Bake for 20 - 30 minutes in 375 oven. Check for extra browning and cover with foil if it started to become too dark. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

5Mix together Drizzle ingredients and drizzle over "danish".
