teri's Story

Note: when cool I drizzle on a bit of powdered sugar glaze .This recipe has been posted on one of my other web sites and those that have tried it, have loved it .

Ingredients

4 c
flour
1 c
sugar
1 tsp
baking powder
1 Tbsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
2 large
eggs
1 3/4 c
milk
2/3 c
vegetable oil
1 1/2 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c
chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350°F/180° C. Grease two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.

Combine eggs, milk and vegetable oil in medium bowl. Add to flour mixture; mix just until moistened. Stir in 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Spoon into prepared loaf pans.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes; remove from pans. Cool on wire racks.

Trying some whole wheat flour sounds like a great idea!

I might try using whole wheat flour for half ofthe flour amount.

This was very easy and very good..I cut the recipe in half and made one loaf. May add some vanilla to the batter next time.
