3 3/4 call purpose flour

1 csharp cheddar cheese, shredded

2 Tbspsharp cheedar cheese, shredded

2/3 csugar

1 Tbspcaraway seeds

2 1/4 tspbaking soda

3/4 tspsalt

1 1/4 cbuttermilk

1 x lgegg
-
6 Tbspbutter, melted

additional butter
How To Make cheesy irish soda bread scones

1In microwave safe bowl, microwave raisins with water on HIGH until hot, 1 - 2 minutes. Let stand 30 minutes, drain.

2Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray. Mix flour, 1 C cheese, sugar, caraway seeds, soda & salt. Beat buttermilk, egg & 4 Tbsp butter; stir into flour mixture with raisins until blended.

3On lightly floured surface, knead until dough forms. Divide dough into 2 equal pieces. Shape each piece into 6" disk. Cut each disk into 6 wedges. With spatula, transfer wedges to baking sheet 2" apart. Brush tops with remaining butter. Bake until golden, 20 minutes, sprinkling tops with remaining cheese during last 5 minutes of baking time. If desired, serve with butter.
