A Simple Cornbread

This is a great and easy cornbread! I got this from a food friend known as Pointsevenout! I'm posting it the way I made it, using less sugar because I was serving this with ham bone soup. I'm also adding my photo.

Ingredients

1 c
all purpose flour
1 c
corn meal
3/4 c
sugar - i used 1/3 cup
1 tsp
kosher salt
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1 large
egg
1/3 c
corn oil
1 c
milk

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix all dry ingredients together.

Mix all wet ingredients together.

Now combine both and mix til just moistened.

Pour into a greased loaf pan.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes or til a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

When cooled, slice.
