Ingredients

1 lb
unsliced round loaf sourdough bread
1 lb
pepper jack cheese - shredded
1/2 c
butter, melted (no substitute)
1/2 c
green onions - finely chopped
1 tsp
minced garlic
2 tsp
poppyseeds

Step-By-Step

1Cut bread loaf lengthwise and crosswise into 1" squares without cutting completely through the bottom crust.
2Insert shredded cheese between cut bread squares
3Combine butter, green onions, garlic and poppy seeds; drizzle over the bread and cheese evenly.
4Wrap bread in foil; place on cookie sheet
5Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap foil and bake 10 minutes longer or until cheese melts.
6Serve warm, pull apart to eat.
