Ingredients For jalapeno corn bread

  • 1 1/2 c
    yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 6 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 3
    jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped

How To Make jalapeno corn bread

    In a bowl,combine the first six ingredients. In another bowl,whisk the eggs,buttermilk and oil.

    Add to the dry ingredients and stir just until moistened. Stir in jalapenos.Pour into a greased 9" square baking pan.

    Bake at 400 degrees for 20-22 min. or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cut into squares. Serve warm.
