The only bread we were aware of was white bread. No rye bread, no wheat bread, no gluten-free, or 15-grain. It was white bread all the way, whether it went into making a sandwich, a piece of toast, or that good old sage stuffing for Thanksgiving. I haven't eaten white bread in decades now, but it sure brings back memories of childhood and simpler times.

Step-By-Step

1Get in the car and drive to the store. Or walk if you live close enough.
2In the store, find the bread aisle.
3Choose a fresh-looking loaf of white bread.
4Take bread to the check-out and pay for it.
5Get back in the car and take the bread home.
Oh, and don't forget your change!
