Super Easy and Delicious Beer Bread

Penny Ross

This is a super easy recipe I received at my bridal shower over 17 years ago. Even those whose lips would never touch liquor gobble up this beer bread!

3 c
self rising flour
2 1/2 Tbsp
1 can(s)
regular beer (do not use light beer)
1 stick
real butter, melted

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a medium sized baking pan, or loaf pan.
2Combine flour and sugar. Add beer, and 3 tablespoons of the melted butter. Stir until well blended. The batter will be very thick and sticky. Pour into the greased baking pan.
3Bake for about 30 minutes; remove from oven and pour remainder of melted butter all over the top of the bread. Return to the oven, and bake for approximately 20 more minutes until beautifully brown.
4Cool only slightly (maybe 3-5 minutes)! Cut into squares, or slice (if you made in a loaf pan, slice thick slices), and serve warm! Eat this with even more butter, for a cardiovascular feast of doom... But what a way to go! So delicious!
