This is a super easy recipe I received at my bridal shower over 17 years ago. Even those whose lips would never touch liquor gobble up this beer bread!

Ingredients

3 c
self rising flour
2 1/2 Tbsp
sugar
1 can(s)
regular beer (do not use light beer)
1 stick
real butter, melted

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a medium sized baking pan, or loaf pan.
2
Combine flour and sugar. Add beer, and 3 tablespoons of the melted butter. Stir until well blended. The batter will be very thick and sticky. Pour into the greased baking pan.
3
Bake for about 30 minutes; remove from oven and pour remainder of melted butter all over the top of the bread. Return to the oven, and bake for approximately 20 more minutes until beautifully brown.
4
Cool only slightly (maybe 3-5 minutes)! Cut into squares, or slice (if you made in a loaf pan, slice thick slices), and serve warm! Eat this with even more butter, for a cardiovascular feast of doom... But what a way to go! So delicious!
