I love this recipe! I love 'Stuffed Bread'! My favorite type of recipe lies within--so many optionals..do it your way and enjoy, right? As for me, I don't leave anything out!! :)

Ingredients For stuffed bread

  • 1 pkg
    pillsbury hot roll mix
  • 1
    egg (for roll mix)
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 lb
    sausage or ground beef, cooked
  • 1/2 lb
    mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 c
    raw spinach, shredded (optional)
  • 1 c
    mushrooms, sliced and cooked (optional)
  • romano or parmesan cheese (optional)

How To Make stuffed bread

  • 1
    Make hot roll mix according to directions. (It is not necessary to let dough rise.) Roll dough into large 10x15 inch rectangle.

    Roll up tightly, jelly roll fashion. Seal ends. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if you like.

    Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes until bubbly. Freezes well. Cut in slices before freezing. Heat in foil.
