refrigerator yeast rolls

My mom has been making these rolls for years! They may look like a muffin, but taste like fresh-baked yeast bread that I have a hard time resisting. Add a little butter while they're hot, and they melt in your mouth! Mmmmm good.

Ingredients For refrigerator yeast rolls

  • 2 c
    water, lukewarm
  • 1 pkg
    active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 4 c
    self rising flour

How To Make refrigerator yeast rolls

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Add, sugar, butter and beaten egg.

    Stir in four. Mix well. (The dough will be stiff and lumpy.)

    Refrigerate at least 2 hrs. or overnight.

    Fill lightly greased muffin tins half full.

    Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
