Ingredients For oatmeal bread

  • 1 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1/4 c
    margarine
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    boiling water
  • 1 pkg
    active dry yeast
  • 1/2 c
    water, warm
  • 5 1/2 c
    flour

How To Make oatmeal bread

  • 1
    Mix the first five ingredients and add to the boiling water. Stir well and let cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add flour and knead well.

    Let rise for 90 minutes. Grease two loaf pans. Let rise until level with pans. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Grease top of bread when you take it out of oven.
