active dry yeast
1/3 c
sugar
1/3 c
shortening
1 tsp
salt

egg well beaten
2 1/4 c
sifted flour
butter, melted
1 c
water, warm

Directions Step-By-Step

Combime yeast, sugar, salt, shortening in large bowl add warm water mix well

Add egg, flour, slowly beat 25 strokes. cover let let rise in warm place for 2hrs

Punch down, turn onto a well floured surface. knead gently 1 min. to rolled out 1/3 inch thickness. Cut into desired shape.brush with butter. Let rise for 2 hrs.

Bake 375 degree for 15 min. Then bake 425 degree for 10 min. until done
