Kimi's Notes:

Oh my goodness...If I owned a diner this would be on the menu. A burger fitting on the hoagie roll, with onions sauted in bacon, provolone cheese melted and a pile of crisp bacon on the top....Fit for a bacon LOVER!!

Directions

1
In large bowl, combine hamburger, onions, garlic, egg, bread crumbs, seasoning and salt & pepper; mix well. Shape burgers to fit in hoagie roll. See picture..In large fry pan cook burgers. Remove from pan & set aside.
2
In same pan add onions and 4 slices of bacon. Add ground pepper. Cook till brown and tender.
3
Cook bacon till crisp. I do mine in the oven on 425F for 20 minutes or until crisp; remove and drain on paper towels.
4
Assemble the hamburger with 2 slice of provolone cheese. Place in the 425F oven to melt the cheese and brown the edges of the bread. Remove from oven and spoon on onions and then pile bacon on top.

Kim looks like we had the same idea on yesterday, except I made mine stuffed with roasted peppers and Feta and Mozzarella, and mine were round instead of long. But that's an idea for next time. I used super sharp on top. I used carmelized white onions as well. My husband ate 2 and a half, because I could only eat a half of one. I served them with Gourmet French Fried onion Rings, and sliced tomatoes.

They looks so amazing and I know they tasted awesome. You rock girl. There is nothing better than a great tasting hamburger. Even when you have to cook them inside instead of the out door grill. Thanks for sharing the recipe. I know everyones mouths are salivating from the looks of the burger. AWESOME RECIPE AND MEAL IDEA, AND YOU POSTED IT FIRST. SMILE.

Thank you Shirley...I am thankful god has given me my momma's gift. We ate great as kids...I am her clone when it comes to baking and cooking. It is art to me and I find peace in the kitchen.
