HOMEMADE BISCUIT MIX

This is a great recipe to have when you are out of biscuit mix.
Use it just like you would biscuit mix. I can't remember who shared this recipe with me, but it has really come in handy. I store mine in the fridge to prolong the life of it.

Ingredients

10 c
all purpose flour
2 c
shortening
1/2 c
baking powder
1/4 c
granulated sugar
2 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1In a very large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

2With a pastry blender cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. STORE IN AIR TIGHT CONTAINER UP TO 6 WEEKS.

Use to make pancakes or biscuits or any recipe calling for biscuit mix.
