These pancakes are my son's favorite, he calls them rollie pancakes and his best friend calls them pancake burritos, I just call them melt-in-your mouth delicious, similar to crepes but better.

Ingredients For french pancakes

  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 3/4
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 4 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2/3 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • sour cream
  • butter
  • jam
  • fresh fruit
  • powdered sugar

How To Make french pancakes

    Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar into large bowl.

    Beat eggs, add milk, water and vanilla to eggs and beat together.

    Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the liquids. Mix lightly, ignoring lumps.

    Pour onto a hot griddle for large, thin pancakes. flip when bubbly.

    Serve with bowls of sour cream, butter, jam, brown sugar and fresh fruit. Roll pancakes up around these items and sprinkle powdered sugar over them.
