From my moms kitchen this is so good with fresh honey butter, or butter and fresh strawberry or peach jam.

2 2/3 c
warm water
2 Tbsp
active dry yeast ( or 2 pkgs )
3 Tbsp
sugar
1 Tbsp
salt
2 Tbsp
butter
6 1/2 c
flour

Directions Step-By-Step

Put water and yeast into a large bowl and let dissolve.

Once they are dissolved stir in sugar, salt, and melted butter.

Add half of the flour beat until smooth, add remaining flour. It will be very sticky and thick.

Cover bowl ( oil the bowl first )and let rise for 30 minutes - beat down

Spoon into 2 greased break loaf pans, let ride covered with plastic or a wet towel.

Bake at 375 degreed for 35 minutes.
