Easy Cornbread

I like to serve this with chili or beef stew.
You could also make corn muffins if you prefer.

Ingredients

1 1/4 c
flour
3/4 c
yellow cornmeal
1/4 c
sugar
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1 c
skim milk
1/4 c
corn, vegetable, or canola oil
1 large
egg, beaten

Directions Step-By-Step

Grease an 8 or 9 inch cake pan. Combine dry ingredients. Stir in milk, oil, and egg mixing just until dry ingredients are moist. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes until light golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
