Buttermilk Cornbread

My Mother taught me how to make this cornbread and it is delicious!

Ingredients

3/4 c
buttermilk corn meal
1 Tbsp
mayonnaise
1 tsp
garlic salt or powder
1 Tbsp
onion flakes
1/4 c
shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp
parsley
1/2 c
buttermilk
1 Tbsp
olive oil

Step-By-Step

1Grease iron skillet with olive oil. Sprinkle buttermilk cornmeal to cover bottom and sides of skillet.
2Mix ingredients well and pour into skillet.
3Bake at 400 degrees until cracks form in bread and it looks done (about 30 minutes). Broil until bread is slightly brown.
