- 6 slice
- 6 Tbsp
- margarine or butter
1Set broiler on HIGH
2Cut each tablespoon of margarine into 6 equal pieces. Note: Make 3 vertical slices and then one horizontally in the middle to get 6 pieces) Repeat with each tablespoon of margarine-you should have 30 small pieces.
3Place one piece of margarine in each corner and one in the middle of each slice of bread. Place on cookie sheet.
4Put in oven and broil for approximately 2-3 minutes or until margarine/butter is melted and bread is nicely browned. WATCH VERY CLOSELY because this can burn quickly-ovens temperatures can vary. I HIGHLY Recommend checking after one minute and 30 seconds to one minute intervals until done thereafter.
Note: Add shredded cheese to make cheese toast or cinnamon/sugar mixture to make cinnamon toast.
