Ingredients For southern cornbread dressing

  • 4 c
    crumbled cornbread (use stone-ground cornmeal to make the cornbread)
  • 3 - 4
    pieces, day old bread, biscuits or english muffins, crumbled
  • 1 - 27 oz. can
    organic chicken broth (or 2 - 13 3/4 oz. cans)
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 3 ribs
    celery, chopped
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    butter, melted

How To Make southern cornbread dressing

    Spray a 9 x 13" pan with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    In a large bowl, combine the cornbread, bread & chicken broth & allow to soak. Add the onions, celery & eggs, mixing thoroughly. Add the melted butter & mix throughly. Bake for 1 hour; 20 minutes.
