I would make these for my kid's school parties when they were in grade school and when I was home-room momming. It was a healthy and good for you choice that teachers were pleased to have served as treats.

Ingredients For mini applesauce puffs

  • 2 c
    package biscuit mix like bisquick
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    applesauce
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg, ighty beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • TOPPING:
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted margarine
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    sugar

How To Make mini applesauce puffs

  • 1
    Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

    Combine biscuit mix, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

    Add applesauce, milk, egg and oil. Beat vigorously for 30 seconds.

    Grease 2 small muffins tins and fill two-thirds full. (yields 24)

    Bake in 400 degree oven for 12 minutes. Or until it comes out clean with a tooth pick. Ovens may vary.

    Dip tops in melted butter and then into sugar mixed with cinnamon. Yeilds 24
