Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter ( or margarine ) softened
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup miniature semi sweet chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate chip banana muffins

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 F. In large mixing bowl combine sugar and butter. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture is creamy, ( 1 to 2 minutes )
  • Step 2
    Add bananas, eggs and vanilla. Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed ( 1 to 2 minutes ).
  • Step 3
    In medium bowl stir together flours, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to banana mixture; stir just until moistened.
  • Step 4
    Fold in chocolate chips. Spoon into greased muffin pans. Bake for 18 to 25 minutes; or until light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pans
