Apple Pie Muffins

I got the idea to make these for an open house so my home would smell warm and inviting... who doesn't love the smell of warm apple pie?

6 oz
apple turnover flavored yogurt
1 stick
butter, melted
3 large
eggs, room temperature
1/2 c
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 can(s)
apple pie filling
1 tsp
baking soda
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
1/2 c
brown sugar, packed
1 c
all purpose flour
1 c
whole wheat flour
1 c


1preheat oven to 400 degrees, line muffin tins with baking cups

2chop up the apples in the pie filling into small chunks

3combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside

4combine the wet ingredients in a large bowl

5add the dry ingredients and stir just until combined (don't over mix)

6fill muffin cups 3/4 full, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
