This is a great way to eat cornbread. It's always been my favorite; even with green, chilli or just by themselves. You'll love them.

Stove Top

Ingredients

1 c
yellow cornmeal
1 c
all purpose flour
1/4 c
sugar
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1
egg
2 Tbsp
oil ( i use bacon fat ) veg. oil will due
1 c
milk

ADD ALL DRY INGREDIENTS TOGETHER IN MEDIUM MIXING BOWL

Directions Step-By-Step

After adding all dry ingredients to bowl...

Add egg, oil and milk.

mix well. batter should be thick

heat frying pan with oil 2 teaspoon of oil

Add 2 large spoonfull of batter in pan

bubbles will form on top when ready to flip over

check bottom, should be golden brown

flip Carfully

cook till golden on opposite side

repeat till all Flap-Jacks are cooked
