I've had French toast that wasn't cinnamony enough. This recipe fixes that. So yummy!

Ingredients For kimmi's overnight baked french toast casserole

  • pam cooking spray
  • 1 can
    sweetened condensed milk, fat free
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/8 tsp
    sea salt
  • 4 x lg
    eggs
  • 1 Tbsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 16 - 20 slice
    texas toast
  • TOPPINGS:
  • cinnamon sugar
  • land o lakes cinnamon sugar butter
  • pure maple syrup

How To Make kimmi's overnight baked french toast casserole

    In medium bowl, add sweetened condensed milk & milk whisk until combined.

    Add eggs, cinnamon & extract, whisk until combined. Let rest 10 minutes for flavors to combine.

    Spray bottom & sides of 8 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.

    Lay down a layer of texas toast.
  • 5
    Ladle on 1/2 of cinnamony-egg mixture. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top of each bread piece.

    Lay down another layer of texas toast.

    Ladle remaining cinnamon-egg mixture over the top. Push down gently on bread so it soaks up all that goodness & sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top of each bread piece.

    Cover with foil & refrigerate overnight.

    In morning, take out of refrigerator & let come to room temperature at least 1/2 hour. (COOKING THINGS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE REFRIGERATOR WILL BRING TEMP DOWN WITH COOKING ANYTHING - IF IT COMES TO ROOM TEMP FIRST...IT'LL START COOKING).

    Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Bake 45 minutes.

    When serving, add land o lakes cinnamon sugar butter & pure maple syrup & enjoy the cinnamony goodness!
