In a bowl mix 1 1/2 flour and yeast. Heat milk, water, oil, sugar and salt until warm
Pour into yeast mixture. Add eggs. Beat for 3 minutes. Stir in 1 1/4 cup flour and chopped apples by hand. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
While dough is rising mix topping.
Heat all ingredients in pan until melted. Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan.
Stir down batter and drop by tablespoon on topping. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool 1 minute then cover with cookie sheet and invert to remove buns.
