I love breads such as dill (with seeds), pumpernickel, multi-grain, or other favorites with this dip!

Ingredients For rye boat

  • 1 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 3 tsp
    dill weed
  • 3 tsp
    minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    beaumont seasoning
  • 3 pkg
    chopped, smoked and pressed beef (sold in 2oz pkg)
  • THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS MAKE A GREAT DIP FOR A VARIETY OF BREAD(S) LOAVES

How To Make rye boat

  • 1
    Cut the chopped, smoked and pressed beef into approximately 3/4 inch pieces.

    Mix all ingredients together. Best to mix a day ahead of time.

    Cut out center of (unsliced) round loaf of rye (or other favorite bread), saving the cut out. Cut extra bread and cut out into large bite size pieces.
  • 4
    Place dip mixture into "rye boat".
  • 5
    Place cut or pulled pieces of breads and place around the boat.
  • 6
    Scoop up the dip with the bread pieces and enjoy!
