Ingredients

1/3 c
raisins
3 Tbsp
rum
1-1/2 c
flour
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
sugar
2
very ripe mashed bananas
1/4 c
melted butter
1
egg, beaten
2 Tbsp
milk
1/2 c
chocolate chips
1/4 c
walnuts

Step-By-Step

1Combine rum and raisins. Let stand 15 minutes; drain and reserve liquid.
2Cool melted butter to room temperature.
3Combine dry ingredients; set aside.
4Combine sugar, bananas, butter, egg and milk; beat well.
Gradually beat in flour mixture.
5Stir in raisins, chocolate chips and nuts.
6Bake at 350 degrees in a greased and floured loaf pan for 45 to 50 minutes.
Poke holes in top of bread with a toothpick.
Brush with reserved liquid.
