PERFECT RYE BREAD IN MACHINE (SALLYE)

- 1-1/8 c
- lukewarm water (105º max)
- 4 tsp
- 2-1/4 c
- white bread flour
- 3/4 c
- rye flour
- 2-1/2 Tbsp
- granulated sugar
- 1-1/4 tsp
- 1 Tbsp
- 1-1/2 tsp
- caraway seeds
- 1 pkg
- rapid rise yeast (1/4 oz) or 2 teaspoons
IMPORTANT: ADD INGREDIENTS IN THE EXACT ORDER LISTED
Run tap water until lukewarm (105º max). If you don't have a thermometer test on the inside of your wrist. If water is too hot, it will kill the yeast action.
Cut butter into 4 pieces
Add butter to pan
Place white flour, rye flour, sugar, salt, caraway seeds and cornbread in a separate mixing bowl. Stir with wood spoon until blended.
Carefully pour flour mixture over liquid in bread machine baking pan. Make sure all liquid is completely covered with flour mixture.
Make a small depression in flour, add yeast
Set machine to white or basic, medium crust.
Turn machine on and smell the goodness for the next several hours.
