These rolls are light and flavorful.I like to use half butter for flavor and margarine or shortening.These can be made not any shape I suppose,I always make them this way.

Ingredients For dinner rolls

2 pkg yeast

3/4 c warm water

1/2 c sugar

1 t. salt

2 eggs

1/2 c shortening (i use half buyer;half margarine,melted

4 c flour
How To Make dinner rolls

1Combine yeast and water.Add sugar,salt,eggs,shortening and 2 c flour.Beat well.Stir in 2 c flour.Beat well.Turn into greased bowl.Let rise till double(1 hour)Punch down.roll out 1/4 inch thickness cut with small round cutter,with the back of a butter knife lightly indent a line on half the round,brush with melted butter,fold in half.Place on greased baking sheet.Let rise 30-35 mins.Bake in preheated 375 deg oven 15-20 mins,Brush tops with butter.Place on wire rack.
