Bakers sometime refer to beer as liquid bread because the yeast to make bread is the same yeast used to make beer.

Ingredients For beer bread

  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 can
    (12 oz) beer
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted

How To Make beer bread

    Preheat oven to 375F. Butter loaf pan
  • 2
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add beer and melted butter to flour mixture and stir until well combined.

    The batter will be sticky. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown and a pick inserted intom the center comes out clean.

    Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to wire rack to completely cool.
