Homemade Flavored Flour Tortillas

I love wraps! The flavored flour tortillas you buy in the store are disappointing...they just have that "packaged" taste - not to mention all the preservatives! The ones pictured are garlic parmesean - I thought they would make awesome chicken ceasear salad wraps. I've also given other suggestions for different flavors - sun dried tomato and herb, and a jalapeno ranch. Play with your food and let me know if you come up with any other flavored tortillas!

Original flour tortilla recipe found online. It's one of my favorites (:

Step-By-Step

1In your mixing bowl add flour, salt, baking powder, and mix in's of your choice.
2Cut in shortening and mix until well combined.
3Add water and mix until dough pulls away from the bowl then an additional 5 minutes.

7Using a large dinner plate press onto the dough and cut excess dough away from your tortilla.
8Set tortilla a side, tear off another piece of wax paper and repeat stacking the tortillas on wax paper as you go.

10Add your tortilla and cook until air pockets for. This only takes a minute or to so watch them closely.
11Flip and cook the other side.
12Stack tortillas on a pan covered with a towel.
13Store your tortillas in the refrigerator in a storage container or zip lock bag. You can reheat your tortillas in the microwave for 15 seconds.. enjoy!
