Ingredients For ~ peach cobbler made easy ~

  • 2 - 1 lb
    bags, frozen peaches or use 6 fresh peaches - pitted, peeled and sliced
  • 1/3 - 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 tsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • TOPPING
  • 3 Tbsp
    softened, butter
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    milk or cream

How To Make ~ peach cobbler made easy ~

    Preheat oven to 375 degree F. In a large saucepan or dutch oven - toss peaches with the cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice and corn starch.

    Over medium heat bring to a slow boil stirring until slightly thickened. Pour into an 8 inch square oven proof baking dish.

    Next, In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, salt, 1 tbsp sugar and baking powder. I use a whisk and blend the softened butter into the flour, until a loose crumb forms.

    Stir in the milk, just until it all comes together as a thick batter. Drop batter by tablespoonful, evenly.

    Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until bubbly and starting to brown a little. When taken from the oven I sprinkle with some sugar. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. My son eats his in a bowl with milk. No matter how you serve it, it's delicious. Enjoy!
