These are a cross between a biscuit and a scone. You can split one in half to use for a sandwich or just serve by itself with jam.

2 call purpose flour

2 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspbaking soda

1/2 ccurrants or raisins

2 Tbspgranulated sugar

1/2 cbuttermilk

1 Tbspsherry
How To Make williamsburg buns

1Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, currants or raisins and sugar in a bowl.

2Combine buttermilk and sherry in a measuring cup. Pour into flour mixture. Gently mix with hands into a soft dough.

3Press dough onto a lightly floured board. Shape into a 1/2 inch rectangle. Cut dough into rounds or squares. Place on a baking sheet that has been lightly greased.

4Bake for 14 to 18 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
