If you want thicker biscuits, roll out dough to one inch thick. As they bake, they will rise nicely and be able to be pulled apart. Top with butter or jam as desired. I like to eat warmed up biscuits with Red Raspberry Preserves for breakfast.

Ingredients For thick cowboy biscuits

  • 4 1/2 c
    bisquick mix
  • 1 1/3 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    unbleached white flour

How To Make thick cowboy biscuits

    Heat oven to 450*F

    Stir: Bisquick Mix and Water together using a fork in a large aluminum mixing bowl until soft dough forms.

    Sprinke: Dusting of Unbleached White Flour onto wood chopping board surface. Knead: dough 15 times Roll Out: dough to 1/2 to 1 inch thick. Cut out biscuits with a cutter or glass drinking glass. Place: Biscuits onto ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake: 8-10 minutes in a pre-heated oven until golden brown.
