I WORK RIGHT NEXT TO A RED LOBSTER. MANY OF THE EMPLOYEES COME AND HAVE THEIR CAR FIXED AT OUR SHOP. WE ARE BLESSED WITH A BAG OF THEIR VERY DELICIOUS CHEDDAR CHEESE BISCUITS ON OCCASION. THEY MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. I FOUND THIS RECIPE ON A COPY CAT WEBSITE. I HAVEN'T MADE THEM YET, BUT I AM HOPING THEY ARE AS GOOD.

Ingredients

2 1/2 c
bisquick baking mix
3/4 c
cold milk
1/2 stick
butter, cold
1/4 tsp
garlic powder
1 c
cheddar cheese, shredded (heaping)

BRUSH ON TOP

2 Tbsp
melted butter
1/4 tsp
dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
pinch of salt

Directions Step-By-Step

PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 400F. COMBINE BISQUICK WITH COLD BUTTER IN A MEDIUM BOWL USING A KNIFE OR PASTRY CUTTER. YOU DON'T WANT TO OVER MIX. YOU WANT THERE TO BE CHUNKS OF BUTTER THROUGHOUT. ADD CHEDDAR CHEESE, MILK & 1/4 TSP OF GARLIC. MIX BY HAND UNTIL COMBINED. DO NOT OVER MIX.

DROP APPROX. 1/4 CUP OF DOUGH ON A UNGREASED BAKING SHEET USING AN ICE CREAM SCOOP. BAKE FOR 15-17 MINUTES.

MELT BUTTER, STIR IN PARSLEY, GARLIC AND THE SALT. USING A PASTRY BRUSH, BRUSH BUTTER ON BISCUITS IMMEDIATELY WHEN BISCUITS COME OUT OF OVEN.
