THERE HAS BEEN JUST ALOT OF NEGATIVE JIVE ABOUT THESE 7-UP BISCUITS WHEN THEY ARE PERFECT IF YOU DO THEM THE RIGHT WAY. PLEASE, YOU HAVE TO USE BISQUICK OR LIKE MIX. YOU MUST KNOW THAT THIS MAKES A VERY SOFT, STICKY BATTER THAT I DONT KNEED BUT MANUEVER UNTIL THE STICKY IS GONE. HOW TO DO THAT? IN THE BOWL YOU ADD SOME MORE BISQUICK AND ON THE COUNTER YOU ADD MORE BISQUICK TO MOVE AROUND THE DOUGH UNTIL THE STICKY IS GONE.

Directions Step-By-Step

MIXING BOWL : ADD THE 4 CUPS BISQUICK, 1 CUP SOUR CREAM AND MIX OR CUT INTO EACH OTHER - THEN ADD THE 1 CUP 7-UP OR ANY CLEAR SODA

MIX THIS WELL. WHILE STILL IN THE BOWL ADD SOME BISQUICK ON TOP AND ALSO ON YOUR COUNTERTOP.
THIS MAKES A STICKY DOUGH THAT YOU WILL MOVE AROUND UNTIL THE STICKY IS GONE. I DO NOT KNEED MY DOUGH BUT MOVE IT AROUND WITH THE EXTRA BISQUICK SO THAT IT DOES NOT STICK ON MY HANDS . I DUMP THAT DOUGH ONTO THE ADDITIONAL BISQUICK THAT I PUT ON THE COUNTERTOP. THEN I SLIGHTLY PUSH OR SOME LIKE TO CALL IT KNEEDING BUT YOU REALLY DONT WANT TO KNEED IT HARD - UNTIL THE STICKY IS GONE. DOES NOT TAKE LONG IF YOU HAVE PUT ADDITIONAL BISQUICK ON THE COUNTER AND ON TOP OF THE DOUGH. WHILE STILL ON THE COUNTER I PAT IT INTO A 13X9 OBLONG DOUGH.

THE 1/2 CUP OF BUTTER THAT IS IN THE RECIPE IS NOT FOR THE DOUGH --- IT IS TO BE PUT IN 13X9 INCH PAN AND MELTED.

WHILE THE BUTTER IS MELTING AND I HAVE MY DOUGH ON THE COUNTERTOP - I CUT 3 ROWS OF 4 BISCUITS WITH A KNIFE OR MY PASTRY CUTTER. I DO NOT PAT DOWN THAT DOUGH TIGHT OR KNEED IT TO DEATH. MY BISCUITS WILL BE SQUARE AT THIS POINT.

I THEN TAKE THE BISCUITS OFF THE COUNTERTOP AND PUT THEM INTO THE 13X9 GLASS PAN I HAVE MELTED THE BUTTER IN RIGHT ON TOP OF THAT MELTED BUTTER.

I PUT THEM INTO A PREHEATED OVEN OF 400 DEGREES AND BAKE THEM TIL GOLDEN.

THEY WILL BE NICE AND FLUFFY AND SOFT ALMOST LIKE ROLLS.

THIS IS NOT A HARD RECIPE. IT IS EASY AND QUICK AND IT IS VERY WORTH THE EFFORT. JUST DONT GET ALL TIED UP WITH THE STICKY PART. KEEP YOUR HANDS OUT OF THE DOUGH AND USE YOUR FINGERS TO MOVE THE DOUGH AROUND UNTIL THE STICKY IS GONE.

I USE ONE BOWL FOR THE DOUGH AND ONE GLASS 13X9 INCH GLASS PAN FOR THE BISCUITS. GIVE THIS RECIPE A CHANCE. THE LADY THAT FIRST PUT THIS ON THE SITE GAVE US A FINE BISCUIT RECIPE THAT IS WONDERFUL IF YOU JUST USE THE RIGHT INGREDIENTS , DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE AND USE FLOUR IN PLACE OF THE BISQUICK.
