Ingredients

2 c white lily or martha white self-rising flour
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp sugar
1 stk unsalted butter, frozen
1 c heavy cream, whipped

David's Notes:

Eat these in a hurry! They are so light that they will fly right off of the plate! Serve them warm with honey or your favorite preserves. For a great summer desert, try these as shortcakes with strawberries and more of the fresh whipped cream.

 

Directions

Combine the first three ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Grate the frozen butter (on the small holes of a box grater or on a Microplane grater) into the flour mixture. Lightly mix with a fork.

Beat the heavy cream with a mixer until soft peaks form. Then fold the whipped cream into the flour mixture.

Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pat with hands or roll to 1/2" thickness. DO NOT WORK THE DOUGH.

Cut out the biscuits and bake on 450 degrees for about 10 - 12 minutes until golden brown.
