Ingredients For autumn stew

  • 1 1/2 C Frozen Stew Meat Mix*
  • 1 C Apple cider
  • 1 C Water
  • 1/4 tsp Dried thyme (crushed)
  • 2 Carrots (peeled and quartered)
  • 2 Potatoes (peeled and quartered)
  • 1 Onion (sliced)
  • 1 Stalk celery (sliced)
  • 1 Apple (chopped)
  • 1/3 C Cold water
  • 3 Tbs All purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper

How To Make autumn stew

    In a large saucepan, combine Stew Meat Mix*, cider, 1 cup water, and thyme. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Break meat cubes apart with a fork. Add carrots, potatoes, onion, celery, and apple to meat mixture. Cook about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. In a small bowl, combine the 1/3 cup cold water and flour; stir into the stew. Stir in salt and pepper. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 or 2 minutes more. Ladle stew into bowls.*Stew Meat Mix recipe located in this program
