Beer Battered Portabella Mushrooms

This is a great recipe to put on the barbacue.

Ingredients

1 c
canola oil for fring
2 c
bitter ale
1 3/4 c
flour
1/2 c
sesame seeds
2 Tbsp
cornsarch
1 Tbsp
baking powder
3
large portabella mushrooms cut into 1/2 in slices

Step-By-Step

1Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan
375 degree
2Whisk ale,flour,sesame,seeds,cornstarch,and baking powder in a large bowl. Batter will be slightly thick and lumpy
3Dip 7-8 strips of the mushrooms at a time into the batter shaking off excess .
Fry mushrooms in batches in oil
5-6 min
