These crabs are so wrong on every level imaginable! Caution: Very addictive and exremely dangeous to your waistline. Shoot, you only have one life to live so go for it. It's so totally worth it. Happy Cooking! sw:)

Ingredients For so wrong 4 that deep fried bread & butter crabs

  • 2-3 lb
    crabs: stone, dungenous, king, alsakan, blue cooked
  • if using live crabs, cook first before frying
  • 8 oz
    beer
  • 1/2 c
    whole buttermilk
  • 1/2 c
    self rising flour
  • 1/2-1 Tbsp
    swamp fire seafood seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1-2 lg
    garlic, grated
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped
  • oil for frying

    In a large mixing bowl, combine ingredients 2-7 mix well. Add crabs and get a good batter on them.

    Heat oil to 350 degrees. Fry crab legs til golden brown. Make sure that you do not crowd crabs in the fryer. In a microwavable bowl add butter, garlic and parsley. Heat in microwave for about a minute or until butter has melted. Dip them babies in that butter and enjoy!
